Profile

I help non-profit and charitable organizations modernize the way they run — their finances, their operations, and their technology — so their teams get real time back for the mission. I spent fifteen years inside the sector doing this work myself, leading finance and operations in children’s and adult mental health. Today I run PF TECH, where I teach grassroots organizations to build and run these systems for themselves.

Experience

Founder & CEO·Purpose Forward & PF TECH

2021 – Present · Remote, serving North America & beyond

I founded both organizations to help grassroots non-profits modernize their finances, operations, and technology — and to teach their teams to build and run those tools themselves.

Director, Finance & Corporate Services·CMHA Toronto Branch

2018 – 2021 · Toronto

I led finance, IT, HR, and operations for a 350-person mental-health organization across 13 sites — and built the COVID-19 screening tool we shared free with more than 200 non-profits.

Finance Manager·Sick Kids Centre for Community Mental Health

2013 – 2017 · Toronto

I ran finance for an $18-million children's mental-health charity and guided its integration into the Hospital for Sick Children.

Governance & board work

I’ve held treasurer and board roles across housing rights, international human rights, and sector data — the same financial and operational rigour, applied in the boardroom.

Speaking & workshops

Teaching has run through everything I’ve done, from tutoring management accounting at York to hosting CPA Ontario’s 2025 Not-for-Profit Conference. I speak about practical AI, operations, and governance in the non-profit sector — conference sessions, board retreats, and staff workshops.
